Scripture - write the main Scripture

“All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness…” 2 Timothy 3:16

God is speaking and He wants to walk daily with you!  Journaling will help you to capture and catalog the lessons He teaches in a way that will help you to grow.

Observation - write what you observe in the Scripture

"I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you."  Psalms 119:11

God wants us to learn His ways and His heart.  We do this by diligently searching His word.  By intently looking at Scripture, we find how God works and a fuller picture of who He is.

Application - write how the Scripture passage applies to your life

"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves.  Do what it says."  James 1:22

It is the application of God's Word to our lives that begins to transform us from the inside out.  As we allow the Word to be active in us, we are changed into His image.

Prayer - write down your prayer

"The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."  James 5:16

Prayer is how we move the hand of God in our lives, and in the lives of others.  The journaling of prayers allows us to see how God is working.
